Colombian singer and composer Romulo Caicedo, who passed away at the age of 78 last Sunday, was buried Monday (Dec. 24) in Medellin.

According to published reports, the singer was on tour and had played in Colombia and Venezuela before being hospitalized with a pulmonary condition in Colombia.

Caicedo began writing songs at the age of 15 and had an early career in vallenato, but is best known for cantina songs. His most popular songs include "Clavelitos", "Andate" and "Llanto Militar."
