As Univision Music Group awaits announcement of its sale by its parent company, the label group launched its newest budget catalog line, Epoca Dorada, to retail today (Jan. 8). The series, which features product by top regional Mexican acts, will retail from about $5.99 - $6.99 and includes 12 tracks per CD.

The series debuted with titles from Univision Music Group label Disa Records, but will follow with product from Univision Records and Fonovisa later this month, says Jeff Young, the music group's VP of sales.

Artists such as Conjunto Primavera, Liberacion, Banda el Recodo, Duelo, Alacranes Musical and Los Temerarios are among those featured in the series.

Six TV commercials advertising the new line, two for each label, will run on Univision, Azteca America and other channels.
