Grammy-winning electric bassist and songwriter/producer Marcus Miller (Luther Vandross, Miles Davis) will host the inaugural Playboy Jazz Cruise of the Caribbean when it sets sail in early 2009. Among the artists joining him on the cruise will be jazz icon Herbie Hancock and modern blues artist Keb' Mo'.

Miller announced the news while previewing tracks for Billboard and sister publication Radio & Records from his upcoming seventh studio album, "Marcus." Recorded under Miller's 3 Deuces Records label and distributed by the Concord Music Group, the album includes guest appearances by Keb' Mo' and singer/songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae. Rae accompanies Miller on the project's lead single, a cover of Deniece Williams' 1976 R&B/pop hit "Free."

The album is slated for release in early spring 2008.
