Houston, Texas MC Devin the Dude decided not to renew his contract at long-time label, Rap-A-Lot Records. According to the MC, he was ready for a new label opportunity and is now exploring all of his options.

Devin recorded three solo albums with Rap-A-Lot over the last 10 years including "Just Trying 2 Live," "2 Tha Extreme" and "Waiting to Inhale."

"Rap-A-Lot has been my family for a long time and there's no bad blood at all," says Devin. "But change is a part of life and I want to focus more on the business side of my career. I've had a nice run so I'd like to develop artists and give some of these other cats out here a platform to shine."

Devin's last album, "Waiting to Inhale," has sold 106,000 copies to-date, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
