Daryl Hall and John Oates will be honored as BMI Icons at the performing right organization's 56th annual Pop Awards on May 20.

The ceremony at the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif., will feature a musical tribute to the duo, known for a slew of hits including "Maneater" and "Kiss On My List."

Hall and Oates have won a combined 24 BMI Pop Awards over their career and are members of the Songwriting Hall of Fame. Previous BMI Icons include the Bee Gees, Paul Simon, James Brown and Carlos Santana, among others.

BMI Pop Awards will be handed out to the songwriters and publishers of the past year's most-performed pop songs in the U.S. The event will also salute the winner of the BMI Foundation's John Lennon Scholarship.
