DBC Entertainment, the company launched by regional Mexican singer Diana Reyes and executives Gabriel Fregoso and Enrique Ortiz, has signed an exclusive North American pressing and distribution agreement with Select-O-Hits.
Select-O-Hits, based out of Memphis, TN, is a distributor of independent music started in 1961 by Tom Phillips and brother Sam (of Sun Records). DBC's first Select-distributed title will be Reyes' new album, "Insatisfecha," due March 25.
Reyes was formerly distributed by Universal via a deal with her previous label, Musimex. Now, as co-owner of her label, Reyes and her team had reportedly considered various distribution options before deciding to go with Select-O-Hits.
DBC's roster also includes Trono de Mexico, Los Kapsi and Cirstaleros del Sur.
