Latin youth-focused entertainment channel LATV has signed an affiliate agreement with its fifth Post-Newsweek television station, WJXT in Jacksonville, Fla.

The agreement to distribute LATV over the station's digital spectrum and cable channels marks an ongoing effort by LATV, which started broadcasting in Southern California in 2001, to sign up affiliates nationally for digital multicast.

Post-Newsweek Stations, Inc. is a minority investor in LATV and holds a seat on its board. WJXT is the 30th TV station to carry LATV, which began its national rollout last spring.

LATV says it is carried in 10.9 million homes. Its main investor is its co-founder Walter Ulloa, who also serves as chairman/CEO of Entravision Communications.
