Nickelodeon will premiere "Dance on Sunset," on March 29, a variety show that has already slated Ashlee Simpson, Sean Kingston, Akon with Colbie Caillat and Menudo to perform.

"We know that music and dance are a big part of our viewers' lives, so we're giving them their very own destination offering musical performances, dance competitions and their favorite celebrities," says Marjorie Cohn, executive vice president of original programming and development.

Those expected to guest star on the show include Janet Jackson, Omarion, Miranda Cosgrove from Nickelodeon's "iCarly" and The Naked Brothers Band.

Each week the "Nick 6," a dance troupe choreographed by Tony Testa, will perform in front of a live studio audience; viewers will then be able to practice the routines on their own with the help of a companion Web site,

The show is produced by Magical Elves, the production company behind "Project Runway" and "Top Chef."

The show will be hosted by Quddus Philippe of MTV's "TRL"; after premiering in the plum post-Nickelodeon's 2008 Kids' Choice Awards show on the 29th, "Dance's" regular time slot will be Sundays at 8:30 p.m.
