A double-CD original Broadway cast recording of "In The Heights," the new Broadway musical about life in Washington Heights' Latin community, will be released June 3 on Ghostlight Records.

A mix of tropical music and hip-hop, the musical's 23 songs were written by "In The Heights" creator Lin-Manuel Miranda. The soundtrack is co-produced by Andres Levin, who composed the score to the Hector Lavoe biopic "El Cantante" and has produced many Latin alternative acts; and by Ghostlight co-founder Kurt Deutsch, whose label puts out Broadway and off-Broadway cast albums.

"In The Heights," an off-Broadway hit last year, opened at New York's Richard Rodgers Theatre Mar. 9 to critical acclaim.

The show's lead producers are Kevin McCollum, Jeffrey Seller and Jill Furman. McCollum and Seller are also the producers of "Rent" and "Avenue Q."
