Rapper Rick Ross has new film and Converse partnership on the way this year. The MC composed the music for NBA player Dwayne Wade's last series of Converse commercials and now the pair is planning another collaboration.

"We had the converse endorsement last time so this new one should come later this summer," says Ross. "The Converse commercial came about because Dwayne Wade is a fan of mine and I'm a fan of his so I ended up making the music for the commercial."

Ross also has a supporting role in "Days of Wrath," a film starring Laurence Fishburne and Grey's Anatomy star, Jeffrey Dean Morgan.

"I made my acting debut," says Ross. "It was fun going out to California. ‘Days of Wrath’ is based on a family growing up in gang-infested East LA in the heart of a gang war and I play one of the street dudes."

"Days of Wrath" is scheduled to drop later this year. Ross' sophomore album, "Trilla," hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 Albums chart this week and has sold 198,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
