Gerardo "Toto" Rotblat, the percussionist for Argentina's Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, has died at the age of 38.

Argentina's Clarín newspaper reports the cause of death on Saturday night as pulmonary edema. Rotblat played with rock-ska legends Los Fabulosos Cadillacs from 1991 until 2002.

Based in Buenos Aires, Rotblat played with many other bands, including Todos Tus Muertos, Cienfuegos and most recently, Dancing Mood, with whom he played his last show on Friday, Mar. 28. Rotblat wrote songs and sang for his own post-Cadillacs project, Orquesta Jabalí, which released an album called "Salta Y Vuela" in 2005.

Rotblat and the Cadillacs won a Grammy in 1997 for their album "Fabulosos Calavera," for best Latin rock/alternative performance.
