Bilingual entertainment channel LATV has struck an affiliate deal with Tribune Broadcasting to distribute the Latin youth focused channel in New York, Chicago and Dallas.

LATV says the deal, which will distribute the network over the digital multicast spectrum of New York's WPIX, Chicago's WGN and Dallas' KDAF, will add nine million households to its viewer base.

LATV puts its total household figure at 32 million, with 8.2 million of those Hispanic, including Puerto Rico. The channel, which started in Southern California in 2001, began a digital multicast rollout last spring. The channel now has 33 affiliates in 19 of the top 25 Hispanic TV markets.
