Rapper Lil Wayne is not only set to close the June 24 BET Awards with a performance, but he's also in talks to appear in the film "The Fast and Furious 4."

"I'm really excited that Usher is opening the show," BET executive VP Stephen Hill tells Billboard.biz. "I'll give you a little tidbit -- Lil Wayne is probably closing the show. So, we have a grand opening and grand closing."

During last week's BET Awards press conference, Lil Wayne also shared that he's in talks to appear in "Furious 4." The movie stars Paul Walker, Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez and is scheduled to hit theaters in 2009.

Lil Wayne is also slated to appear in the movie "Patriots," starring Forest Whitaker. It began filming in New Orleans this month and is slated to hit theaters in November.
