Tokyo-based independent music company Hostess Entertainment has announced that it will release the new album from singer/songwriter Beck in Japan this August.

“We’ve been leaping like salmon just to hear the album, having got a sneak preview of three songs a few weeks back, which were amazing,” Hostess president Andrew “Plug” Lazonby says.

“We’re now very excited about the creative processes involved in delivering it to the Japanese audience -- it’s going to be a lot of fun,” he continues.

Hostess will initially release the U.S. edition of the as-yet-untitled album, followed by a Japanese pressing in early August.
