Merengue star Elvis Crespo will celebrate the anniversary of his hit "Suavemente" with a show at the Rio Hotel Casino in Las Vegas July 13.

The show, called "Elvis Live From Las Vegas," will be taped and released as a live album in CD and DVD format on Machete Music this fall. It will be the first live DVD for the Puerto Rican singer, who first gained notoriety ten years ago with his hits "Suavemente" and "Tu Sonrisa."

The Vegas show will include Crespo's hits as well as tropical versions of "My Way" and Elvis Presley's "Hound Dog. Crespo was named after Presley.

The singer is also slated to release a new studio album, titled "Pride," which will include his hits performed with plen a arrangements, stemming from the traditional dance rhythm of Puerto Rico.

"Pride" will be released on Machete by year's end.

Crespo's "Suavemente" sold 848,000 according to Nielsen SoundScan.
