-- Jennifer Hudson and Al Green will headline concerts for the 2008 Tom Joyner Family Reunion in Orlando, Fla., Aug. 28-Sept. 1. Among other performers set for the Labor Day weekend event at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center are Eric Benét, Dwele, Lyfe Jennings, Solange Knowles, Hot Stylz and DJ Unk. Joyner, namesake of radio’s syndicated “Tom Joyner Morning Show,” partnered with Allstate Insurance Company to present this year’s reunion celebration.

-- Country icon Johnny Cash is getting the remix treatment. “Johnny Cash Remixed” is set for release Oct. 14 via Compadre Records/Music World Entertainment. The 13-track project features such Cash classics as “Folsom Prison Blues” and “I Walk the Line,” the latter of which features Snoop Dogg.

-- The Living Legends Foundation has announced the honorees for its 15th annual gala fund-raiser. The 2008 honorees are Thea Mitchem, operations manager/Clear Channel Radio Philadelphia and director of urban programming; Big Jon Platt, president/West Coast Creative Services/EMI Music Publishing and Island Urban president Jermaine Dupri. A special presentation will be given to the group Kool & the Gang. The gala will take place Nov. 20 at the Highland Ballroom in New York City.
