-Mexican rock legends Jaguares will be releasing a special mp3 version of their latest album, "45," on a set of limited-edition earphones. The Skull Candy-brand earphones bearing the Jaguares logo and pre-loaded USB memory stick with songs and special features will retail for about $120 US when they go on sale in a couple of weeks, says EMI Mexico chairman Camilo_Lara. Five thousand such earphone sets will be sold under the promotion. The label will follow up in November with alternative rock band Zoe's "Reptilectric" album on another pair of Skull Candy earphones.

-Bilingual Epic Records act Monte Negro will replace Panamanian rock band Rabanes at Red Bull's Soundclash concert in Los Angeles this Thursday. Pop station KSSE/Los Angeles (Super Estrella) is promoting the show with a live broadcast from the event, in which Monte Negro will face off against Sony BMG's Allison.
