Nominations have been announced for the inaugural U.K. Music Video Awards (UKMVAs), to be held Oct. 14 at the Odeon West End in Leicester Square, London.

It is a varied list of performers, with multi-nominees including alternative rock act the Ting Tings and dance acts Hot Chip and Chemical Brothers, alongside soul newcomer Duffy, indie rockers The Hoosiers and indie pop stalwart Bjork.

The awards will be hosted by comedian Adam Buxton and will honor excellence in U.K. music video production within the music industry. Categories include Best Pop Video, Best Visual Effects in a Video and Best New Director.
