U.K. music publication NME has announced Scottish rockers Glasvegas as the headline act on its 2009 NME Awards Tour.

The tour, which begins Jan. 29 at Liverpool University, will also feature rising U.K. acts Friendly Fires, White Lies and Florence & the Machine.

Glasvegas took home this year's Philip Hall Radar Award at the Shockwaves NME Awards and made No. 2 with their debut, "Glasvegas" (Columbia), in the U.K. album chart.

The 17-date tour will precede the 2009 Shockwaves NME Awards, which take place at London's Brixton Academy on Feb. 25.
