- The NAACP kicks off its year-long centennial celebration with the 40th annual "NAACP Image Awards," which will be televised live from Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium Feb. 12 (8:00-10:00pm ET/PT) on Fox. Nominations will be announced January 7. Nobel Peace Prize Laureates former Vice President Al Gore and Dr. Wangari Muta Maatha will receive the NAACP Chairman's Award for special achievement and distinguished public service.

- "Love Train: The Sound of Philadelphia" concert special will premiere nationwide on PBS stations beginning Thanksgiving weekend. Featured performers include the O'Jays, Russell Thompkins and the New Stylistics, Jerry Butler and Bunny Sigler along with the 28-piece TSOP Orchestra. A same-titled, four-disc audio collection is currently available through Gamble-Huff Music/PIR/Sony Legacy.

- India.Arie's new Universal Republic album, "Testimony: Vol. 2, Love & Politics," is slated for release on Feb. 10.

- UDub! News, a subsidiary of mobile and digital content aggregator UrbanWorld Wireless, has been selected as the official news source for syndicated radio program "The Steve Harvey Morning Show." UDub! News will be featured daily on the morning show's Web site in its "What's Now" section, providing news in hip-hop, politics, technology and other urban-related topics.
