Spanish collecting society SGAE has signed a pan-European licensing agreement with mobile vendor Nokia for its all-you-can-eat service Comes With Music.

SGAE will make available the work of its 93,000 author and publisher members, as well as its extensive Latin music catalog supplied by most major publishers, who have entrusted pan-European online distribution to SGAE.

Nokia's Comes With Music service is already available in the U.K., and it is scheduled to be extended to other countries across Europe this year. Consumers who buy a pre-licensed Nokia mobile with the Comes With Music service will have unlimited access to the Nokia Music Store content for between 12 and 18 months.

SGAE says the Nokia deal, signed at the end of this week's MIDEM trade fair in Cannes, underlines the collecting society's commitment to digital distribution. SGAE was a pioneer in this field when it helped create eLOS (electronic Licensing of Online Services) in 2006 to establish a model of online music repertoire administration in the European Union.
