- Funkmaster Flex, a Hot 97 DJ and radio personality, has signed on for a new TV show with Spike TV. The show, "Fast Machines With Funkmaster Flex," will depict Flex fixing up classic and new cars. The 12-episode season begins on April 5 at 10:30 p.m, according to the NY Daily News.

- Reggae MC Mavado has announced March 3 as the release date for his upcoming sophomore album, "Mr. Brooks ...A Better Tomorrow" through VP Records. Spearheaded by his infectious single "I'm So Special," which currently sits at no. 74 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Mavado's debut album "Gangsta For Life: The Symphony of David Brooks" hit shelves in 2007 and has sold 22,000 copies to-date in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. Mavado remains one of reggae's most influential new artists and has collaborated with MC's like Jay-Z.

- Singer/songwriter Chrisette Michele as-yet-untitled sophomore album will be released March 31 via Def Jam, according to the artist. Her forth-coming first single is entitled "Epiphany" and will hit radio and the Web on February 10. Michele released her debut album "I Am" in 2007 and the the LP has sold 416,000 copies to-date, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
