Depeche Mode will debut their new single "Wrong" at the 18th Echo German Music Awards at Berlin's O2 World on Feb. 21.

The appearance by the U.K. synth-pop veterans, which is televised live on German TV, is billed as a "worldwide exclusive first performance" of the new single. The band's 12th album, "Sounds Of The Universe" (Mute/EMI), is released April 20.

"Depeche Mode have been an important influence on pop music since the 1980s and keep providing exciting stimuli to this day, effortlessly and earnestly bridging the past and future of pop music," said Dieter Gorny, chairman of the German Music Industry Association, in a statement. "We are greatly honored by the fact that the band will perform the exclusive worldwide debut of the first single from their long-awaited new album at the Echo awards."

Other Echo performers include U2, Amy MacDonald and Katy Perry. Tickets to the ceremony are available to the public.
