Mobile operator Cricket is teaming up with LiveWire Mobile to launch an over the-air music download service. The mobile music store charges $2 for tracks downloaded directly to the mobile phone, and 99-cents for those purchased from the computer. Other pricing options include a $5 monthly charge good for up to three downloads to the phone, or $2.25 for tracks downloaded to both the PC and the phone.

To promote the new service, Cricket has partnered with Soulja Boy Tell 'Em to feature the new single "Kiss Me Thru the Phone." The promotion allows ringback tone subscribers to add the track for free for two weeks, and the first 100 fans to download it each day will get it for free. Also, fans will have the chance to win a trip for two to see the artist in concert.

LiveWire is a mobile content service that also provides Cricket with all its ringback tone and ringtone services. Cricket is the wireless service operated by Leap Wireless.
