- Digital distributor INgrooves has joined Nokia's Comes With Music program. The Nokia service already has licensing deals with the four major labels, including INgrooves investor Universal Music Group. Anyone owning a compatible Nokia phone can now download music from any artist distributed by INgrooves as part of their Comes with Music.

- Digital Access, an online digital music distribution service in Russia backed by several major labels, was sold to Russian digital investment firm Ru-Net II. Sony Music Entertainment and Warner Music Group were both investors in the company, which launched in 2007 and handles about 25% of the country's digital distribution activity.

- Nokia has added an application download store similar to the iPhone's App Store in its OVI mobile content portal.
