- Nimbit, an online music promotion and direct-to-fan distribution service, has landed $1 million in new financing. The company, which counts both artists and independent labels as clients, acquired the funding from CommonAngels.

- Legal P2P service iMesh has added content from indie label association Merlin to its catalog.

- More than 250,000 fans have registered for the Fall Out Boy online game since its introduction last week.

- Digital distributor INgrooves hired Ben Kline as VP of sales and marketing. He will report directly to CEO and founder Robb McDaniels and located in San Francisco. Kline joins INgrooves from Universal Music Group Nashville, where he was executive VP of sales, marketing and new media. UMG is an INgrooves investor.
