U2's "No Line on the Horizon" (Mercury/Universal) climbs 15-1 on European Top 100 Albums, after debuting at the top in no fewer than 14 territories across the region. Lady Gaga's "Poker Face" (Interscope/Universal) tops Eurochart Hot 100 Singles for a third week.

U2's arrival represents a recent record for chart-topping debuts on the pan-European chart. The U2 album opens in pole position in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Spain, Holland, Switzerland, Poland, Ireland, Austria, Hungary, Denmark, Norway, Portugal and the Czech Republic.

Opening U.K. sales are 157,000, the highest first-week tally of 2009 but down on the 200,000 achieved by U2's last studio album "How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb" in 2004. "Horizon" also holds at No. 1 in the Belgian region of Flanders, climbs 3-1 in Finland and enters at No. 2 in Sweden, but is down 1-2 in its second week in France.

Last week's pan-European No. 1, the Prodigy's "Invaders Must Die" (Takemetothehospital), is down into runners-up spot, despite a 35-3 climb in Poland. Lady Gaga's "The Fame" holds at No. 3 overall, holding at No. 2 in Ireland and rising 3-2 in Austria, 4-3 in Denmark, 5-4 in the United Kingdom, 6-5 in Finland and 12-7 in Germany.

Kings of Leon is down one notch overall at No. 5 with "Only By The Night" (Hand Me Down/Sony Music Entertainment), which holds at No. 2 in Flanders but slips 2-3 in the United Kingdom.

Also descending on the composite European list are Duffy's "Rockferry" (A&M/Universal), 5-6, and Peter Fox's "Stadtaffe" (Downbeat/Warner Music),
6-7. Fox is down 1-2 in Germany and 1-3 in Austria. But Coldplay climbs a
place on Top 100 Albums with "Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends" (Parlophone/EMI), up 9-8 with a highest individual ranking of No. 8, in France.

Mando Diao's "Give Me Fire!" (Musica Dela Santa) is down 8-9 overall, although its single "Dance With Somebody" is up 18-16 on the Eurochart after climbing 9-4 in Switzerland, 5-4 in Austria and holding at No. 5 in Germany. Pink's "Funhouse" (LaFace/Sony Music Entertainment), now in its 19th week on Top 100 Albums, moves back 11-10.

"Poker Face" is No. 1 again in Austria, Ireland, Flanders and neighboring Wallony, and moves 2-1 in Germany, 3-1 in Switzerland and 4-3 in Norway, but falls 1-2 in France and Sweden. Kelly Clarkson makes a second-week Eurochart climb of 3-2 with "My Life Would Suck Without You" (19/Sony Music Entertainment) after a No. 7 debut in Germany and a climb of 11-4 in Ireland, offsetting falls of 1-4 in the United Kingdom and 2-4 in Sweden.
