Universal Music Mexico will release the second volume of its Nickelodeon-branded Minihits compilation on April 14, to coincide with Mexico's Children's Day, or Día Del Niño.

Similar to the U.S. “Kidz Bop” series, the album is a collection of current hits covered by child singers. "Minihits Vol. 2" has a ten-song tracklist that features covers of Gloria Trevi’s “Cinco Minutos,” Flex’ “Te Quiero,” Julieta Venegas’ “El Presente,” K-Paz de la Sierra’s “Mi Credo,” and Belanova’s “1,2,3 Go!,” among others.

Nickelodeon will share in the royalties and promote the compilation on-air and online in the second half of April, says Universal Mexico senior VP of marketing and A&R Robbie Lear. Toymaker Hasbro is a sponsor of the Minihits Web site.

The first Minihits compilation was test-marketed last year in limited release.
