The Who and Australian promoter Andrew McManus Presents are throwing financial support behind the bushfire relief efforts in Victoria.

AMP has issued a special new $125 Australian ($82) ticket for the veteran British rock act's closing concert at the Australian Grand Prix on March 29, from which $25 Australian ($16) will be donated to the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal. The ticket price includes free admission to the Formula 1 race.

General admission tickets for the event range in price from $27 Australian ($17) to $175 Australian ($115).

"The Who could not be here to take part in the Sound Relief Concerts but we sincerely hope this new ticket initiative will add some well-needed funds to the appeal," says McManus in a statement.

"The entire music community has shown incredible support for the bushfire appeal. It's the responsibility of all of us to do everything we can to help heal these terrible tragedies."

The Who's Australian tour kicks off at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on March 24, marking the band's first dates Down Under since 1968. The six-show tour includes a March 28 date at the Hope Estate Winery in New South Wales.
