Chris Cornell will make his solo artist debut at the U.K.'s Download Festival, having previously performed at the event with Audioslave. He is currently touring his "Scream" (Polydor) album, a more beats-driven set recorded with producer Timbaland.

The rock festival, staged by Live Nation at Donington Park on June 12-14, is headlined by Faith No More, Slipknot and Def Leppard.

Cornell is one of 12 additions to the bill, along with Down, Papa Roach, Skin, Journey, Tesla, Lacuna Coil, Black Stone Cherry, Clutch, Architects, Karma To Burn and Parkway Drive.
