Soul Collective 2009 tour. The junket gets under way April 22 at BB Kings in New York, followed by stops at Birchmere Music Hall (4/23; Alexandria,
Virginia), Rams Head (4/24; Baltimore), Beachland Ballroom (5/16; Cleveland) and Detroit (5/7; venue TBA).

-Big Pooh, one-half of the duo Little Brother, is releasing digital and
physical versions versions of his latest project, the street album “Delightful Bars.” The 13-track “Candy Apple” iTunes version goes up March 24; the 15-track “North American Pie” physical version will be released May 5. Producers include 9th Wonder. The set paves the way for Big Pooh’s upcoming sophomore set, “Dirty Pretty Things.”

-Los Angeles scenester Abstract Rude makes his Rhymesayers solo debut on May 5 with “Rejuvenation.” The 14-track set was produced by Vitamin D (G-Unit, Redman) and features guests Aceyalone, Myka 9 and newcomers Busdriver and Alpha MC.
