--NRG Media Spanish adult hits KMMQ (La Preciosa)/Omaha has morphed into what the company is calling a "younger and more hip Spanish regional Mexican hits station" and is now known as "Ke Padre 1020AM."

Morning host Jose Ramon says the station will focus on music from the past 15 years to today. "Ke Padre is a spiced up mix of great musical groups like Ranchera, Grupera, Nortena, Bañda, Cumbia, Duranguense and other adult Spanish hits artists," Ramon adds." As a member of the Omaha Hispanic community, I am confident they are going to love this radio station as much as I do."

Noting that the change happened on April Fool's Day, the station said in its release that "this is no April Fool’s joke. On-air talent, including Ramon, has been promoting the new format for more than a week." —Mike Boyle, Radio & Records

--After a day of stunting, Glades Media has flipped former country WAFC/Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., to regional Mexican 'La Ley 99.5 FM.'

Santos Latin Media supervised the format development for Glades and say the station will broadcast mainstream regional Mexican music from their most important exponents, such as Los Tigres del Norte, Vicente Fernandez, Banda el Recodo, El Chapo de Sinaloa, Ramon Ayala y los Bravos del Norte among others.

"We are thrilled to bring La Ley 99.5 FM to West Palm Beach," says Glades Media CEO Robbie Castellanos. "Total countywide FM coverage for the Hispanic community has long been the goal of our company, and it is now a reality." He adds Jose Santos, president of Santos Latin Media, Corp., will direct the programming of La Ley and Glades' entire Latin Radio Group.

Santos says, "It's a pleasure to work with Glades Media in the launching of this very important FM radio station. Santos Latin Media has made great strides in the past two years, and with our expansion to the East Coast (Florida), we continue to assist in making radio stations and our media partners become successful. It will not be any different with La Ley 99.5, la Que Manda en West Palm Beach!"
