Universal Music Publishing Group (UMPG) has signed Eminem to an exclusive worldwide publishing agreement beginning with the artist's sixth studio album, "Relapse," due May 19. Previoulsy, UMPG had an administration relationship with a portion of the Eminem song catalog.

"Relapse" is one of the most anticipated albums of the year, and, so far, the debut single "Crack a Bottle," has hit No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100, while it also topped 13 charts worldwide, including the Billboard Pop 100 and the UK R&B Chart, according to the press release announcing the deal. The album features collaborations with UMPG songwriters Mark Batson and 50 Cent, who is also a platinum-selling rap artist.

Eminem, who has sold over 70 million records, plans to release a sequel, "Relapse 2," later this year.
