Mariah Carey, Jennifer Hudson, John Mayer, Lionel Richie, Smokey Robinson, Usher and Stevie Wonder are among the confirmed participants at Tuesday's public memorial service for Michael Jackson at Los Angeles' Staples Center.

The announcement by Jackson family via spokesman Ken Sunshine also named Kobe Bryant, Magic Johnson, Martin Luther King III, Bernice A. King, Rev. Al Sharpton, Brooke Shields, Motown founder Berry Gordy, the Andrae Crouch Choir, "Britain's Got Talent" finalist Shaheen Jafargholi and family friends Ron Boyd and Pastor Lucious Smith as additional particpants.

It was not immediately clear who was performing and who might be speaking.
