-Contemporary mariachi star Pepe Aguilar is launching his own clothing label, The Pepe Aguilar Signature Line, beginning with men’s shoes and boots and branching into women’s shoes, clothing and accessories. The shoes will be sold initially through 51 Warehouse Shoe Sale stores in Southern California. Aguilar will introduce the designs at WSS stores in South Gate and Anaheim, Calif., on Aug. 15, with similar events to follow in other U.S. cities. Aguilar is launching the shoe line as he preps a 16-date U.S. Tour, 11 of them with Marco Antonio Solis.

-Argentine labels body CAPIF has shut down file-sharing site Qsound.com.ar, according to the IFPI. The site had 1,500 registered users with 2,000 links to 3,000 unauthorized music files. IFPI says Qsound was a new site intended to replace file-sharing forums previously shut down by CAPIF. Qsound was shut down June 22 following a CAPIF investigation, which was part of a regional anti-piracy campaign by IFPI.
