Lady Gaga has played what was billed by her label as her first headline London show, following Wembley Stadium support slots with Take That this month and appearances at Glastonbury Festival and T in the Park.

The U.S. synth-pop artist played a 60-minute set, including multiple costume changes, at the 5,000-capacity O2 Academy Brixton. The AEG Live-promoted show was sold-out.

Lady Gaga's debut "The Fame" (Interscope/Universal) is approaching U.K. sales of 600,000 according to recent figures from the Official Charts Co.

Current single "Paparazzi," which had a physical release on July 6, is at No. 4 in the U.K. singles chart on total U.K. sales of 198,500 according to the OCC. Lady Gaga already has combined sales of more than 1.4 million for the previous singles "Just Dance" (currently at No. 46 after 28 weeks on the chart and sales of 691,000) and "Poker Face" (No. 26 after 26 weeks and sales of 738,000).

Lady Gaga returns to the U.K. for the V Festival in Chelmsford and Staffordshire on Aug. 22-23, following shows in Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Finland and Denmark. She also plays Sweden's Storsjoyran festival in Ostersund and Stockholm (Aug. 1-2), Japan's Summer Sonic festival in Osaka and Tokyo (Aug. 7-8) and the Non Stop Musix Festival in Tel Aviv, Israel on Aug. 19.
