Having settled its lawsuit with original publisher Activision, the developers of "Brutal Legend" have released the soundtrack for the highly anticipated heavy metal adventure fantasy videogame.

The list includes more than 100 songs from 75 different artists. They include five songs by Judas Priest (whose frontman Rob Halford does voice acting in the game as well), "God of Thunder" by KISS, "In The Black" and three other songs by Motorhead, "Diary of a Madman" and two other tracks from Ozzy Osbourne, "Children of the Grave" by Black Sabbath, and many others.

"This soundtrack took years to put together as we wanted to represent every genre of metal, and also have the perfect music for every epic moment in the game," said Tim Schafer, president of Double Fine Productions in a prepared statement. "It's designed to be loved by metal fans, and for those who are not, it will either convert them or make their heads explode... or both."

The game is scheduled for release Oct. 13 in North America and Oct. 16 in Europe.

Additionally EA is sponsoring the Metalocalypse tour with Mastodon and Dethklok under the "Brutal Legend" banner. The tour starts Oct. 2.
