The new season of Venevision International’s tween telenovela, “Somos Tu Y Yo,” launches Aug. 17 with more music and social networking promotions. The series, which airs in Venezuela, features its young cast singing original songs by Daniel Espinoza. Venevision is looking to sell the show to other networks, increase traffic to the show’s ad-supported Web site and support the sale of music, ringtones, merch and games from the program. New Facebook and Twitter pages have been set up to engage the tween audience.

Venevision, a multimedia company with ventures in music, TV, film, publishing and mobile entertainment, distributes its content in over 100 countries and within the last year has overhauled its new media initiatives.
