Facebook currently lacks an on-demand music streaming solution of its own.

-- YouTube will stream live the entire Outside Lands Music Festival in the U.S. this weekend. This marks the first live-streamed music concert for the video sharing site. The stream will take place on a YouTube channel built specifically for the festival which runs Aug. 28-30. Featured acts include the Dave Matthews Band, Jason Mraz, The Dead Weather, and the Silversun Pickups, among others. The channel will also archive performances for on-demand streams after the event.

-- MTV and OurStage are teaming to give the top-ranked artists on OurStage a greater presence in MTV's programming. For starters, artists participating on OurStage events will also have opportunities to perform at mtvU Six Flags VMA Tour and at the MTV Video Music Awards.
