Nelly Furtado continues her romp through the Latin airplay charts, with her single “Manos Al Aire” hitting No. 1 on the Billboard Latin Rhythm Airplay chart and on the Latin Tropical Airplay chart. Furtado becomes the first woman to top the Tropical chart since Gloria Estefan did so with “No Llores” in September, 2007. This week, Furtado’s “Manos Al Aire” is also No. 3 on the Latin Pop songs chart and No. 2 on the Hot Latin Songs chart, behind only Shakira’s “Loba.” Furtado’s Spanish-language debut album, “Mi Plan,” hits stores Sept. 15.

Other chart toppers for the week include chart newcomers Conjunto Atardecer, who debuted at No. 1 on the top regional Mexican albums chart with “Contigo Para Siempre.” The album landed at No. 2 on the Top Latin Albums chart, behind only Aventura, whose “The Last” notched its 11th consecutive week at No. 1.

And Los Tigres del Norte landed their 41st Top 10 on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart with the single “La Granja,” which went 14-8. The accomplishment is a record in the chart’s 15-year history. The act with the next most top tens is Intocable with 35.
