Producer/songwriter Christopher "Tricky" Stewart has signed a deal with Def Jam/Universal Records for his own RedZone Records imprint. The new record company president and CEO will oversee all aspects of marketing and development as well.

One of the first artists signed to the new RedZone deal will be Bryan J, whose as-yet-untitled debut album is already in the works.

Stewart is the mastermind behind chart-toppers such as "Umbrella" (Rihanna) and "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)" (Beyonce), among others. He most recently worked on Mariah Carey's "Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel" and Whitney Houston's "I Look To You," the latter which debuts at No.1 on the 200 chart with 305,000 copies sold in the United States, according to Nielsen Soundscan, this week.
