-Regional Mexican radio listeners are the most consistent in their listening habits of any music format regardless of language, according to Arbitron's Radio Today 2009 report. Despite the transition to PPM resulting in typical listeners' reported exposure to twice as many radio stations a week compared to the diary system, regional Mexican ranks as the top music format in terms of time spent listening, and is tied for first place for TSL across all formats.

However, regional Mexican radio hasn't been immune to the reported drop in TSL experienced by many other formats post-PPM, with regional Mexican's share of the overall radio audience dipping from 3.4% to 2.9% between Spring '07 and Fall '08.
