Peermusic has signed a five-year joint-venture digital distribution agreement with CEMCA Records, the new label associated with the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico.

Via its digital distributor Digital Pressure, the independent publisher will put out releases by CEMCA, whose label allows students to implement what they've learned in their music industry classes.

"The Conservatory is also building a new concert hall and music studio where faculty members and students alike can create masters that will be released through this digital distribution deal," according to the announcement of the deal. "Students will also be actively involved in the promotion of releases as part of their courses via social networking sites, blogs, email blasts etc."
