U.K. dance festival Creamfields is expanding into the United Arab Emirates via a one-night outdoor event to be held in Abu Dhabi Dec. 11.

The festival will be hosted in partnership with Abu-Dhabi-based event consultants Flash Entertainment. Line-up and pricing details will be confirmed at a later date.

Commenting on bringing Creamfields to Abu Dhabi, Flash Entertainment managing director John Lickrish said in a statement: "To be staging the capitals first multi-stage outdoor dance festival is tremendously exciting not only for Flash, but also for music fans across the region."

"Hosting Creamfields Abu Dhabi will ensure that the city instantly becomes recognised as a key destination on the dance festival circuit and we are proud to be making this happen," he went onto say.

Launched by the Liverpool-based Cream clubbing brand, the first Creamfields festival took place in the U.K. in 1998 and now claims to be the world's leading outdoor electronic music festival.

So far this year Creamfields events have been staged in the United Kingdom, Poland, Portugal, Czech Republic, Malta and Spain. Prior to the Abu Dhabi event -- Creamfields first excursion into the Middle East -- the outdoor festival takes place in Chile (Nov. 6) and Argentina (Nov. 7).

Commenting on taking Creamfields to Abu Dhabi, James Barton, CEO Cream Group said in a statement: "Since we started out we have stayed true to our ambition to get dance music out to the crowds and the loyalty we enjoy for the Creamfields brand is exactly for this reason."

He continued, "It's great to be partnering with Flash who, like us, are passionate about developing the music scene and producing events that make a huge impact on the local audience and the city itself."
