Radio Disney's network for kids, tweens and families, continued to gain listeners in 2009. The network's ratings, up 11 percent over 2008, reaches 22.2 million listeners 6 and older, and 6.8 million kids 6-14, according to a Radio Disney analysis of Arbitron's custom Radio Disney ratings studies for April and August.

The ratings, released Wednesday (Nov. 4) were Radio Disney's highest on record in all three major day parts, daytime (6 a.m. to 7 p.m.), weekday morning drive (6 to 10 a.m.) and afternoon drive (3 to 7 p.m.).

In daytime, ratings nearly doubled compared to a year ago among kids 6-14, from 0.8 to 1.5 rating; doubled among moms with kids 6-11 from 0.6 to 1.2; and tripled among moms with Kids 2-11 from 0.4 to 1.1.

Weekday morning drive ratings skyrocketed. Among moms with kids 6-11, ratings quadrupled, from 0.5 to 1.9. Ratings for moms with kids 2-11 jumped 0.4 to 1.6.

In weekday afternoon drive, ratings doubled among kids 6-14 from 1.0 to 2.2 and among moms with kids 6-11 from 0.7 to 2.0. Ratings among moms with kids 2-11 more than tripled to 1.6 from 0.5.
