Kings of Leon will play its biggest ever U.K. show this summer.

The U.S. band will perform a Live Nation-promoted date at London's Hyde Park on June 30.

The capacity for the show is understood to be around 50,000. Other acts to play Hyde Park in recent years include Bruce Springsteen, Blur and Red Hot Chili Peppers.

"It's a great honor to be playing Hyde Park," said Jared Followill from the band in a statement. "It's something that a band can only dream of; to be put in the same category as the groups that have played before us is just unbelievable."

Kings of Leon's fourth album "Only By The Night" has global sales of 6.2 million according to Sony Music.
