Teen superstar Miley Cyrus will co-host the 2010 MuchMusic Video Awards, the station announced today.

The 17-year-old, who has sold more than 15 million albums worldwide, will host the show--which airs in Canada on June 20. The show is broadcast live from MuchMusic’s studio in downtown Toronto.

The awards show started in 1997, and Cyrus’ cohorts the Jonas Brothers hosted last year. Cyrus is scheduled to perform as part of the show. Other acts have yet to be announced. Rihanna, The Black Eyed Peas and Nelly Furtado have played the show in the past.

“Miley Cyrus is a multi-media superstar, plain and simple,“ says Sheila Sullivan, executive producer of the awards. “Music, movies, television, she’s conquered it all. We know she is going to be ecstatic by the enthusiasm and devotion of the MMVAs fans.”
