After staging a one-off event in 2008 and taking a year off in 2009, Ozzfest is returning this summer with a six-city North American amphitheater run that will feature main stage performances by Ozzy Osbourne, Motley Crue and Rob Halford.

The trek begins Aug. 14 at the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, Calif., and concludes Aug. 24 at the Comcast Center in Boston. The shed tour will also visit Chicago; Pittsburgh; Hartford, Conn.; Camden, N.J.; and Boston.

Other main stage artists include DevilDriver and Nonpoint. Rounding out the second stage will be Black Label Society, Drowning Pool, Kingdom of Sorrow, Goatwhore, Skeletonwitch, Saviours and Kataklysm.

Tickets for Ozzfest go on sale May 22 at ozzfest.com and livenation.com.

Ozzfest 2008, with Metallica and Ozzy Osbourne as headliners, grossed nearly $3.5 million and drew close to 30,000 people to Dallas' Pizza Hut Park, according to producers Sharon Osbourne and AEG Live. Sponsored by Affliction Clothing, Ozzfest 2008 marked the return of the music brand after a free run at amphitheaters in 2007.
