Iron Maiden will release its new EMI album "The Final Frontier" on Aug. 17 (a day earlier in the U.K.).

The metal veterans are marking the official announcement with a free download of album track "El Dorado" from their official website from today (June 8). Maiden launches its world tour June 9 at TX Superpages.Com Center in Dallas.

"'El Dorado' is a preview of the forthcoming studio album," said frontman Bruce Dickinson in a statement. "As we will be including it in the set of our Final Frontier World Tour we thought it would be great to thank all our fans and get them into 'The Final Frontier' mood by giving them this song up front of the tour and album release."

"The Final Frontier" is Maiden's 15th album and was recorded with longtime producer Kevin "Caveman" Shirley at Compass Point Studios, Nassau.

Iron Maiden released its self-titled debut in 1980 and has sold 80 million albums, according to an EMI statement.
