Frank Flores, chief revenue officer for Spanish Broadcasting System's radio segment and GM of the company's New York stations La Mega 97. FM and Amor 93.1 FM, has left the company according to published reports.

Flores was a vocal critic of Arbitron's Portable People Meter ratings measurement system, contending that it undercounted listeners of Spanish-language radio and hurt those stations' ratings. After a lengthy court battle between Arbitron and SBS, in which the broadcaster stopped encoding its signal for PPM measurement, SBS re-signed for the service just a couple of weeks ago.

No word on the reason for Flores' departure, though one discussion-board post speculated that Flores' removal was a condition of the settlement between Arbitron and SBS. Published reports indicate Mickie Reyes will be interim GM of La Mega and Amor.
